Road Map Step 2: I Explore
You can’t change what you can’t see.

Step 2 – I EXPLORE
At first, I thought “self-awareness” meant just knowing I was triggered.
Cool, I knew it. Still snapped. Still sulked.
But this phase?
It’s the watching phase.
Like being in your own reality TV show… and slowly realising you’re both the drama and the audience.
This is where you start spotting your own patterns:
-
The rage behind my smile.
-
The stories I swallowed just to keep the peace.
-
Why I shut down. Why I lashed out.
It wasn’t pretty. It wasn’t easy. But it helped me see I was living my life on auto-pilot.
It’s not about fixing it all yet.
It’s just seeing it.
Clearly. Repeatedly. Gently.
You start noticing when you’re zoned out, when you’re triggered, and what was triggering you, and why.
That’s it.
That’s the work.
Becoming your own damn detective.
Try this:
When you feel it rising … the heat in your cheeks, the shaky hands, the tears building…
Pause.
Just 2–3 seconds.
That pause is the space between trigger and tornado.
Between being in it, and watching it.
It’s not easy. It’s an art.
One you’ll nail… and sometimes totally mess up.
Both count as practice.
