Road Map Step 3: I Discover
Discovery is where your power begins.

Step 3 – I DISCOVER
The clues were always there. I just hadn’t looked yet.
There’s a moment on this wild inner journey where you stop obsessing over the now… and start tracing the lines back to where it all began.
You start seeing how the past shaped the patterns.
The emotional shutdowns.
The overreactions.
The way you twist yourself into knots to feel safe or loved or enough.
And then comes the part that cracked me wide open:
I stopped blaming my 8-year-old self for surviving in the only way she knew how.
Instead of scolding her, I started listening to her.
And I began collecting clues, not to shame myself… but to understand.
Because here’s the truth most of us miss:
This sh*t? It’s not a personal flaw.
It’s programming.
At this phase, I started digging.
Into the memories I’d boxed up.
The shame I’d buried.
The stories I swore I’d never tell.
And let me tell you, I didn’t find a cute little healing montage with fairy dust and soft piano music.
I found rage.
I found grief.
I found the version of me I had long abandoned because I didn’t know how to love her.
But here’s the wild thing:
- She didn’t need fixing.
- She needed witnessing.
Not a rescue. Not a revamp. Just someone – finally – to sit beside her and say:
“I see you.”
Try This:
When an old story resurfaces; maybe a memory, a reaction, or a deep ache you thought you’d outgrown …
Don’t rush to reframe it.
Don’t patch it up with positivity.
Just pause. Sit beside it like an old friend, and maybe whisper:
“Hey little warrior, we made it out.”
