1. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Soulve.
By accessing or using the Soulve app (“Services”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 16 years old to use Soulve.
By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
Soulve is a self-reflection and journaling app designed to help users explore their thoughts, patterns, and personal growth through guided prompts and AI-generated reflections.
4. NOT PROFESSIONAL ADVICE
Soulve is not a medical, psychological, or therapeutic service.
The app and its AI-generated responses:
- are for self-reflection purposes only
- do not replace professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment
Always seek guidance from a qualified professional where needed.
5. AI-GENERATED CONTENT
Soulve uses AI to generate reflections based on your journal entries.
By using the app, you understand that:
- AI responses are automated and may not always be accurate or appropriate
- responses should be interpreted as guidance, not fact
- you remain responsible for how you interpret and act on any content
6. USER CONTENT
You retain ownership of the content you create (including journal entries and posts).
Private Journal
- Your journal entries are private by default
Community Content
If you choose to share content in the community:
- it becomes visible to other users
- you are responsible for what you share
You agree not to post content that is:
- abusive, harmful, or illegal
- misleading or deliberately offensive
- violating the rights of others
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.
7. PAYMENTS & SUBSCRIPTIONS
During testing phases, the app may be free to use.
After launch:
- Users may be offered a 7-day free trial
- After the trial, a subscription fee will apply (e.g. R150/month, excluding applicable taxes)
Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled.
You can manage or cancel your subscription through your app store account (Google Play / Apple App Store).
8. ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITY
You are responsible for:
- maintaining the confidentiality of your account
- all activity under your account
You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
9. DATA & PRIVACY
Your use of Soulve is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Soulve is not liable for:
- decisions made based on app content or AI responses
- emotional, psychological, or personal outcomes resulting from use
- any indirect or consequential damages
You use the app at your own discretion and risk.
11. TERMINATION
We may suspend or terminate access to the app if:
- these terms are violated
- misuse or harmful behaviour occurs
You may stop using the app at any time.
12. CHANGES TO TERMS
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised terms.
